Art Mentorship Session

A personalised, 50-minute creative coaching session for artists and makers who are ready to move forward in their art practice—with clarity, support, and encouragement.

Here’s What You Need:

1. Clarity in your creative direction

You feel like you're creating without a clear path or purpose.
An art mentorship session with me helps you define your artistic voice and direction so you can feel aligned, inspired, and confident in where you’re heading.

2. Strategies to overcome creative blocks

You keep hitting walls—perfectionism, procrastination, overwhelm.
In our session, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back and co-create simple tools to move you through resistance with ease.

3. Confidence in sharing your work

You second-guess everything and hesitate to show your art to the world.
We’ll explore ways to build authentic confidence so you can share your work (and your story) with more courage and less self-doubt.

4. Balance between creativity and business

You want to grow your creative work, maybe even start selling, but the business side feels intimidating or confusing.
I’ll help you navigate the next right steps—whether that’s pricing your art, building an online presence, or finding your first market.

5. Accountability and support from someone who gets it

You’re motivated, but working alone means things fall off your radar.
Our session gives you not just ideas, but someone who’s walked this path—and can hold space for you to stay on it.

This session isn’t a class, a course, or a fluffy creative chat.

It’s focused, personal, and designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re just starting out or trying to grow something deeper, this 50-minute mentorship offers real support—rooted in clarity, encouragement, and doable next steps. You'll walk away with a sense of direction, tangible action, and the confidence to keep creating on your terms.

You’ll have a calm, focused space to ask questions, try new things, and strengthen your skills without pressure.

    Designed for:
Artists and makers who want to grow creatively but need structure, support, or a bit of a nudge.

We’ll untangle the internal “not good enough” voice and bring you back to the joy of making art your way.

    The challenge:
You second-guess everything, compare yourself to others, and wonder if what you’re doing even matters.

    The transformation:
You’ll leave feeling seen, encouraged, and more confident in your unique creative voice.

    Designed for:
Sensitive creatives who want to create from a place of self-trust instead of self-doubt.

  • The experience:
We’ll talk through your ideas, look at what’s realistic right now, and map out gentle next steps—without overwhelm.

    The challenge:
You have the passion and the talent, but the business side feels confusing, intimidating, or just not “you.”

    The transformation:
You’ll leave with actionable tips to start (or grow) your creative business in a way that feels aligned.

    Designed for:
Artists who want to sell their work, do markets, build an online presence, or explore making art part of their income.

  • The experience:
You’ll receive a tailored follow-up email with resources, links, and light “homework” based on what we explored.

    The challenge:
You’ve had sessions or classes before that felt nice—but didn’t give you anything to do afterward.

    The transformation:
You’ll feel like you’ve got a clear, doable plan—and support that doesn’t end when the session does.

    Designed for:
Creative thinkers who need gentle accountability and tangible next steps to keep their momentum going.

  • The experience:
Our session is co-created with you—it’s intuitive, adaptable, and never prescriptive.

    The challenge:
You’ve outgrown rigid programs or one-size-fits-all advice. You want something real.

    The transformation:
You’ll feel supported, not managed—and empowered to move at your own pace.

    Designed for:
Artists who crave genuine connection, tailored support, and a safe space to grow.

How does this sound?

In just one session, we can either:

  • Untangle the overwhelm and help you figure out where to focus your energy next—because trying to do it all (or nothing at all) isn’t working.

  • Look at your work together and talk through what’s working, what’s missing, and what you might explore next—without judgment, pressure, or artspeak.

  • Talk through your creative blocks—like imposter syndrome, perfectionism, or fear of being seen—and gently shift the mindset that’s keeping you stuck.

  • Help you get your art out there, whether that means prepping for your first market, building a website, writing your “about” page, or pricing your pieces in a way that feels good.

  • Create a rhythm that works for your real life—not someone else’s perfect morning routine, but something sustainable for your actual season.

  • Map out a custom creative project or portfolio plan, so you know what you’re working toward and how to get there, one small step at a time.

  • Build a simple marketing plan for your creative business (if that’s your goal), based on platforms that feel aligned—not draining.

  • Make space for your art again, even if your time, energy, or confidence has felt scattered lately.

This is a place to be honest, get support, and finally move forward—with someone who gets it.

We are redefining what it means to be an artist.

It’s not about having a perfect portfolio or a full-time studio. It’s about showing up for your creativity,

even in small moments. It’s about growing your skills, trusting your voice, and building something that feels like yours.

This is a space to reconnect, reflect, and take the next step—whatever that looks like for you..

“Keita is incredibly welcoming and open and is generous in sharing her experiences. She is also open to learning herself and creates an atmosphere of play so everyone is comfortable at where they are on the journey of making art…[Keita] has reminded me that painting, drawing, and combining ideas actually makes the rest of my life more colourful too!

- Jill G.

How do I know this will work?

One-on-one art mentorship sessions for creatives aren't just a luxury; they're a proven strategy for fostering artistic growth and professional development.

A study published in Research Policy analyzed mentoring programs in the Norwegian art field, highlighting mentorship as a valuable tool for developing creative careers. Additionally, research featured in the Journal of Arts & Communities discusses the potential contributions of arts mentoring programs in supporting artists and creative practitioners, emphasizing the reinforcement of emotional experiences associated with creative practice.

Furthermore, the ArtSmart program reported that 85% of its students developed more meaningful relationships with adult mentors, leading to enhanced social and emotional well-being.

These findings underscore the tangible benefits of personalized art mentorship, providing solid evidence of its value in nurturing creativity and advancing artistic careers.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO SETTLE FOR WONDERING IF YOU’RE DOING IT RIGHT —you deserve grounded, personalised support that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Hi, I’m Keita,
A British/Canadian Artist, experienced creative facilitator, and mum of three, living and working on a family farm nestled in the mountains of BC.

  • With over 20 years in the arts and a First Class BA Hons in Theatrical Design, I’ve worked across scenic art, creative direction, and community projects in the UK, Vancouver, and now Pemberton.

  • I know what it’s like to feel creatively stuck or unsure where to begin. These sessions are built from my own journey—supporting you to move forward with clarity, confidence, and heart.

  • My mentorship combines intuitive guidance and practical strategy, whether you're just starting out or ready to take your art practice to the next level.

  • I’ve led workshops for all ages—from classroom teachers to absolute beginners—focusing on creativity as a path to confidence, healing, and self-expression.

  • Whether you want to deepen your skills, build a portfolio, or make space for art again, I’m here to meet you where you are—with zero pressure and lots of encouragement.

  • When I’m not in the studio, I’m usually making tea, walking in the trees, or dreaming up new ways to support creative people like you.

Let’s work together to reconnect with your creativity and build a practice that feels meaningful, manageable, and truly your own.

This is your invitation to carve out intentional

space for your creativity. To explore your art

with guidance,  without pressure.
To move from “maybe one day” to
“I’m doing it now!”

“Keita is the ultimate Art Teacher! Her lesson plans are challenging and very fun! She inspires people to step outside their comfort zone and explore new styles and mediums in a very kind and encouraging way!

Keita is the kindest most gentle person that can adapt easily to the needs of many people. She is a talented artist that is very professional and has a lot of skills to offer her students. She made a lesson plan that was from a preference I expressed.”

- Nicki Dumba

“Keita has made me feel more comfortable calling myself an artist and opened my eyes to more mediums and ways of being an artist than I previously realized…I love how encouraging she is and welcoming of all abilities.”

- Alissa P.

Why Work with Me?

“I don’t have time for creativity right now.”
You don’t need endless hours—you need a supportive way to weave art into your real life. I’ll help you create a rhythm that fits your season, not someone else's schedule.

“I’m not sure if I’m talented enough to be an artist.”
Talent isn’t the point—self trust is. We'll focus on growing your skills and deepening your connection to your creative voice, one step at a time.

“I’ve taken classes before, but they didn’t move me forward.”
This isn’t a template or a course. It’s a conversation. A collaboration. Together, we'll design a path that’s as personal and dynamic as you are.

“I want to take my art seriously but I’m overwhelmed.”
That’s exactly why I created these sessions. Whether you’re aiming to build a portfolio, sell your work, or simply make space for art again, I’ll help you break it down into simple, doable next steps.

“I need someone who gets it—without the pressure.”
I work alongside you, not above you. My mentorship is about encouragement, real strategy, and a space where your creativity can breathe and grow at your pace.
